MY VENTURE....

Ever since I can remember I have wanted to visit France and recently I was selected by the “People to People Student Ambassador Program” to travel on their "European Odessey" to the countries of France, Italy and Greece. You can only imagine how excited my family and I are to have this opportunity! This is truly an experience of a lifetime that will change my life forever and enhance my leadership skills. On my journey through Europe I will learn about new cultures, discover new places, and forge new friendships. I will experience views of Paris from the top of the Eiffel Tower and see landmarks of the Louvre Museum. After France we will travel to Florence, Italy to see the famous "Leaning Tower of Pisa" and then onto the city of Venice where we will float in a gondola through the city streets. Next we will take an overnight ferry to Patras, Greece where we will explore the relics of the original Olympic Games, originally held in 776 B.C. We will also be able to swim and boat in the azure waters that surround the stunning island of Aegina, Greece. These are just a few of the highlights outlined in our 20 day Itinerary that I wanted to share with you.

As a Student Ambassador, I have the unique opportunity to represent my home country and reach out to the world in the spirit of President Eisenhower’s vision. The People to People Movement dates back more than half a century to its founding by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956. Eisenhower was acting on his firm belief that direct interaction between ordinary citizens around the world can promote cultural understanding and world peace. That proud legacy of hope lives on in “People to People Ambassador Programs” on seven continents.

Our "European Odessey" is scheduled to leave from Orlando, Fl on June 12, 2012 and I am paying my way by raising money for this program through Fundraisers like "Peerbackers". If you can pitch in on my life changing experience, then you too can be proud about making the world a better place. \"European Odyssey\" ~ Reaching My Goal One Step At A Time...

Hello, My name is Christian O'Kelly and I am a 7th grade honor roll student at Lincoln Park Academy, which is a great school and is rated 16th in the Nation! One of my favorite things to do is spending time with my family and friends and just hanging out with everyone. My favorite sports I like to play are baseball and golf and played on LPA's golf team in the spring and I will be going out for their baseball team this winter. My favorite foods I like to eat are Thai, Mexican and Sushi. I love to travel and I am looking forward to being part of the "People to People Ambassador Program" and having the opportunity to go on their "European Odessey" Trip to France, Italy and Greece this June 2012.
